Five players will share the console at Nakuru. We asked them what makes accompanying a competition different.
The organ is the one instrument every choir must reckon with. In competition it is unforgiving: it will not follow you, and it exposes an ensemble that has not settled its tuning.
Five organists serve the 2026 festival — from Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan. Between them they will accompany the set pieces, support the solo classes and lead the massed hymn on the final afternoon, when every choir in the building sings as one.
Choirs may bring their own organist, or select one of the festival's during registration. The platform prevents any organist being booked beyond their limit, so the person you choose is the person who plays.
